How to shop safely on Konga
Online shopping is easy, but a few habits will protect your money and save you trouble if something goes wrong.
1. Pay only through the platform
Pay through the shop's own checkout, not by bank transfer to a person who messages you outside the website. If someone asks you to pay into a personal account to "secure" a deal, do not go ahead.
2. Check the seller
Look at who sells the item and how they are rated. Items sold by the platform itself are usually easier to sort out if there is a problem than items from a small third-party seller with few reviews.
3. Read the reviews, but read them carefully
Look for recent reviews that mention the exact product. Be wary of many five-star reviews posted in a short time, or reviews that all sound the same.
4. Read the returns and delivery information
- How many days do you have to return the item?
- Who pays for the return delivery?
- What delivery options are shown, and what do they cost?
Check this on the product page before you pay, not after.
5. Confirm the price at checkout
Discounts are sometimes removed or a delivery fee is added at the last step. Look at the total on the final page before you confirm.
6. Keep your proof
Save your order confirmation, the product page and the order number. Check the item when it arrives, and if it is wrong or damaged, record it straight away and contact the seller through the platform.
7. Use the deal list to compare first
Before you buy on Konga, check whether the same item is cheaper elsewhere. Our deal list shows current discounts from several shops, and each deal opens the shop's own website.
